Karelian Regional Dispatch Office took second place in the All-Russian Regional Power System Operator's Championship - one of them is a Polytechnic graduate!

RDC's team members are senior dispatcher Ilya Larkin and dispatcher Pavel Kovalev. Dmitry Mizin is the supervisor of the Operations and Dispatch Service of the Karelian Regional Dispatch Department.

Pavel Kovalev is a young dispatcher of Karelian Regional Dispatch Department.
He graduated from Polytechnic University with a bachelor's degree in Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering in 2016 and completed his master's degree in 2018.

He began working as an electrician on duty at the 330 kV Vostochnaya substation in 2017, and in 2020 he became a dispatcher at the North-West MES Central Dispatch Center.

Pavel joined Karelian Regional Dispatch Center in April 2021 as a dispatcher in the Operations and Dispatch Service.

Pavel believes that the team's success is due to the comprehensive training by the best specialists of the North-West Regional Dispatch Center and, of course, to the tremendous moral support of colleagues from Karelian Regional Dispatch Center and North-West Regional Dispatch Center.

"The competition is an invaluable experience for each participant, which allows you to identify your strengths and work through weaknesses. The ability to work as a team, quickly navigate and make error-free decisions in stressful and non-standard situations. I expected from the competition a serious competition and victory of our team. My expectations were fully justified, I think we performed well".
