Alena ALESHINA was appointed Director of the Higher School of Power Engineering

Alena ALESHINA was appointed Director of the Higher School of Power Engineering of the Institute of Energy on October 1, 2021.

Ms. ALESHINA is a "golden" graduate of SPbPU Power Engineering Department with a degree in Heat Power Engineering. She continued her postgraduate studies at the University and in 2013 defended her PhD thesis on gasification in fluidized gas generators.

Since 2014 as an associate professor, she prepared and taught courses of “Heat power plants” and “Environmental safety” at the Power Engineering Department of the Institute.

Since 2013, Ms. ALESHINA has been engaged in international activities of the Institute of Energy. She has been directly involved in organization of international master's degree programs in power plant engineering, electric power engineering, nuclear power engineering and energy technology, as well as in double and triple degree programs with partner universities in Germany and Finland. Since 2016 are held Summer and Winter Schools, in various energy fields including turbine engineering, with participation of international lecturers and students, as well as internships and training of graduate and postgraduate students abroad, etc.
